The village has a traditional establishment The Murray Arms with good honest fare in The Fisherman's Daughter restaurant, and the 'Gun Deck' al fresco sun-trap eating area all with pleasant service and a chance to meet the local folk.
There is also a speciality bar and café Robertsons and two convenience shops including post office (with a cash facility). There is also a community garden, blacksmith, Museum, Art Gallery and Craft shop.
